About Us

With twenty-two years of customer service experience in the airline industry and a passion for the natural world, Dena Lasater wanted to create a travel adventure to share with others. She was employed as a guide in the Olympic Peninsula when Twilight Fever broke out. Curious, Dena read Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight and became intrigued with the characters who live in this beautiful, rainy area that is close to her heart.

As Twilight fans began flooding into Forks, Dena put together a plan for that travel adventure she wanted to create. Her vision became a company called En Route to Adventure and a tour called Forks Adventures. Dena’s goal is to provide an experience that will satisfy any Twilighter’s curiosity about the setting of the book and the spots that were important in the characters’ day to day lives. She will also share her favorite places and natural wonders in the spectacular Olympic National Park and Forest.

Dena earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, and a certificate in Documentary Production. She produced one and co-produced two short documentaries about women who met difficult challenges through inner strength and positive faith. Dena is a trained and certified International Tour Manager.

Dena plans her travel destinations around trekking adventures which, in the past five years, have included Mount Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, Patagonian glaciers, and Tour du Mont Blanc. When she is not traveling, Dena shares her time between Seattle, Washington and Colorado Springs, Colorado where she explores landscapes and hikes in the mountains with her dog, Tinker Bell.

With her travel experience, outdoor knowledge, and adventurous spirit, Dena follows her heart by sharing her favorite places with others. Dena believes there is always something new to learn or enjoy, no matter how many times you climb the same mountain or visit a favorite destination.
